Hydraulic Cylinder Repairs in Kimberley

Leaking, drifting or bent? We strip, measure and rebuild hydraulic cylinders in our Kimberley workshop so your machine gets back to work.

Hydraulic Cylinder Repairs

What we do

Cylinder repairs are the core of what Helcon does. Every cylinder that comes through the workshop is stripped, cleaned and checked: rod, barrel, piston, gland and seals. You get a clear quote before any work starts, and a straight answer on whether a rebuild makes more sense than a replacement.

We repair single and double-acting cylinders off excavators, loaders, tipper trucks, cranes, tractors, balers and shears. In-house welding and manufacturing means we can make up parts that aren’t available off the shelf.

FAQ

Hydraulic Cylinder Repairs: common questions

In most cases a rebuild costs less than a new cylinder, especially on large mining and earthmoving cylinders. We assess the rod, barrel and piston first and tell you honestly if replacement is the better option.

It depends on the size of the cylinder, the damage and parts availability. Call us with the machine and cylinder details and we’ll give you a realistic time frame. Fast turnaround is a priority for us.

Yes. Depending on the damage we straighten the rod or make a new one, then re-seal the cylinder.

No. Most customers remove the cylinder and bring it to our Kimberley workshop. Call us first if you’re not sure.
